We're inviting everyone in our communities to take a few minutes to complete our new Gifts and Involvement Survey. It's a chance to let us know about the gifts, skills, and interests you might like to bring to our shared ministries, whether that's something you're already doing or something new you'd like to explore. Filling it out doesn't commit you to anything; it simply helps us plan for the future. Training is available for many roles, so don't hold back if something interests you but feels unfamiliar.
Nous invitons tout le monde dans nos communautés à prendre quelques minutes pour remplir notre nouvelle Enquête sur les capacités et l'implication. C'est l'occasion de nous faire connaître les dons, les compétences et les intérêts que vous aimeriez apporter à nos ministères, que ce soit quelque chose que vous faites déjà ou quelque chose de nouveau que vous aimeriez explorer. Solange Vouvé (1927-2026)
A requiem mass for the Rev. Deacon Solange Vouvé (née Chevrier), who died in January, will take place at St. Michael, Sillery (1800 chemin Saint-Louis), on Saturday, September 12 at 2 p.m. Solange died on January 21, 2026 at the age of 98. Ordained in 1997, Solange was a linguist and translator by profession, teaching translation at Laval University until her retirement in 1996. Most of her ministry as a deacon was served at St. Michael's, and she also regularly translated liturgical and other texts for the diocese.
Une messe de requiem en mémoire de la révérende diacre Solange Vouvé, décédée en janvier, aura lieu à l’église Saint-Michael, à Sillery (1800 chemin Saint-Louis), le samedi 12 septembre à 14 h. Solange est décédée le 21 janvier 2026 à l’âge de 98 ans. Ordonée en 1997, Solange était linguiste et traductrice de profession; elle a enseigné la traduction à l’Université Laval jusqu’à sa retraite en 1996. Elle a exercé la plupart de son ministère de diacre à l’église Saint-Michel, et elle traduisait également régulièrement des textes liturgiques et autres pour le diocèse.

The Blair family invites you to an annual corn boil party at their home in St-Jean-de-l'Île-d'Orléans on Sunday, September 13, starting at 2 p.m. Everyone from everyone congregation is welcome! Corn on the cob will be provided, but you're encouraged to bring a potluck-style dish to share, along with any musical instruments you may play. For those of you who remember Aldo, the donkey who once lived in the backyard of Bishopthorpe (now Church House), he'll be in residence at the Blairs for the corn boil.
